That Coming Home Feeling......

Come on, you've all had it.......coming off that plane, turning that corner, alighting from that boat.....the feeling of coming home.....it's difficult to explain but invariably results in a smile spreading over your face. For me I had it a couple of weeks back driving up to Arisaig on the West coast. Always happens at the same place.....just coming up to the railyway bridge below at Loch Nan Uamh......seeing the blue water  and even bluer sky peeking through the arches.....no matter the weat...

In the 250th year of Robert Burns' Birth .........

Born 25 January 1759 Rabbie Burns, Scotlands' favourite son just has to be mentioned in this the 250th anniversary year of his birth!  One of his best known follows:
